Ordering OptiReaders Pro from South Africa
There's no separate South African storefront — orders go through the same optireaderspro.net store as everywhere else, and that's the only site the 30-day guarantee applies to. Reading glasses in South Africa are commonly picked up at a pharmacy counter like Clicks or Dis-Chem; OptiReaders Pro instead posts a progressive multifocal pair directly from the official store.
Checkout runs in USD, and your bank converts that to rand at its own rate when the payment clears, so the rand figure on your statement moves with the exchange rate rather than staying fixed. See the price and bundles page for the USD figures and the OptiReaders Pro overview for how the lens works.

Delivery timeline to South Africa
| Step | Typical timing |
|---|---|
| Order processed and packed | Within 24 hours on business days |
| Transit to your address | 8-14 business days, nationwide |
| Final leg | South African Post Office or a courier partner completes delivery |
| Return window if unwanted | 30 days from delivery date |
Customs inspection is the most common cause of delay beyond the typical window. Any duty or VAT applied by SARS on import is set by the government and the carrier, not by us, and is payable by the customer if charged. Full carrier detail is on the shipping page, and tracking is explained on the order tracking page.
Choosing your strength
Powers run from +1.00 to +3.50 in +0.25 steps. If you already wear a pair of pharmacy readers, order the same number printed on them. Otherwise the strength guide has an age-based starting point, and the adjustment guide covers your first week with a progressive lens.
Returns from South Africa
The 30-day money-back guarantee runs from your delivery date. Email support@optireaderspro.net with your order number and we'll arrange it; return postage on a change-of-mind order is paid by the customer, while faulty items are replaced at our cost.
Where this doesn't fit
These are non-prescription readers for age-related close-up blur, not a substitute for a South African optometrist visit if you have astigmatism, a strong prescription, or a diagnosed eye condition, and they're not intended for driving.
