The full price list
These are the only prices we sell at. There is no separate members’ price, no trial fee and no upsell after payment. The per-pair column is the number worth reading: it is the reason most people take two pairs rather than one.
| Bundle | Price | Per pair | Shipping | Total | You save |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 Pair | $29.99 | $29.99 | $10.99 | $40.98 | 50% off $79.98 |
| 2 Pairs - Most popular | $49.99 | $25.00 | Free | $49.99 | 55% off $159.96 |
| 3 Pairs - Best value | $69.99 | $23.33 | Free | $69.99 | 60% off $239.94 |
The compare-at figures are what an equivalent number of ready-made progressive readers typically costs on the high street, not an invented “was” price we never charged.
What you actually pay: worked examples
The most common complaint about buying glasses online is the number changing between the product page and the payment screen. Here is every combination this store can produce, with the exact total.
| What you order | Pairs | Shipping | Charged today |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 pair | 1 | $10.99 | $40.98 |
| 1 pair + extra pair add-on ($19.99) | 2 | Free | $49.98 |
| 2 pairs | 2 | Free | $49.99 |
| 2 pairs + 2 extra cases ($9.99) | 2 | Free | $59.98 |
| 3 pairs | 3 | Free | $69.99 |
Notice the second row. Adding a pair for $19.99 also removes the $10.99 shipping charge, so the real cost of that second pair is $9.00. That is the single cheapest pair of progressive readers on this site.
What is included at no extra cost
- A hardshell protective case and a microfiber cleaning cloth with every order - around $30 of accessories we do not itemise because we do not charge for them.
- Your choice of lens power from +1.00 to +3.50, selected at checkout. On multi-pair bundles you can pick a different power for each pair - see the strength guide.
- Tracked delivery with a number you can follow from dispatch to your door.
- A 30-day money-back guarantee from the day your order arrives.
- Free power swap inside those 30 days if the strength you picked turns out to be wrong.
Shipping: the one rule
Standard tracked shipping is $10.99 on a single pair and free on any order of 2 pairs or more. That is the whole policy - no thresholds that shift by country, no handling fee, no signature surcharge. Full details and delivery windows are on the shipping page, and the free-shipping rule is explained in more depth under free shipping.
Is it a subscription?
No. This is a single one-time charge. There is no membership, no auto-ship, no “free trial that converts” and no card stored for a future renewal. You buy a bundle, you are charged once, and the next time you hear from us is the dispatch email. We say this plainly because a lot of eyewear offers online do the opposite, and it is the first thing careful buyers check.
The charge on your statement will show as our store name. If anything else appears, email support@optireaderspro.net with the order number and we will resolve it the same day - see customer service.
How the cost compares over a year
Price only means something next to the alternative. Here is what the same problem - close-up blur that needs correcting every day - costs through the four routes people actually take.
| Option | Typical cost per pair | Covers three distances | Realistic first-year cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| OptiReaders Pro (2-pair bundle) | $25.00 | Yes | $49.99 |
| Prescription progressives | $300 - $800 | Yes | $400+ including the eye exam |
| Drugstore single-power readers | $15 - $25 | No - reading only | $60 - $100 across several pairs a year |
| Cheap marketplace “multifocals” | $8 - $20 | Usually not genuinely progressive | Repeat purchases plus return postage |
If your eyes need prescription precision - astigmatism, a real distance correction, a diagnosed condition - spend the money at the optician. That is the honest answer, and it is covered in OptiReaders Pro vs prescription glasses. If you simply want small print sharp again without swapping pairs all day, the comparison above is the case for these.
Why the price is this low
A prescription progressive pair carries four costs before you wear it: the eye exam, the dispensing fee, a lens surfaced individually in a lab, and a retail markup on top of all three. We remove all four. OptiReaders Pro are ready-made progressive readers produced in standard powers in volume and shipped directly from us to you - no store, no dispenser, no distributor cut.
That is also why the bundle discount exists. The picking, packing and shipping cost is almost identical whether the box holds one pair or three, so we pass that difference back rather than keeping it. It is the same reason we can include the case and cloth instead of selling them as an accessory line.
Price by country
Every price on this site is in US dollars and your card is charged in USD wherever you are. Your bank applies its own conversion rate on the day, so the figure in your local currency moves slightly with the exchange rate - but the amount we take never changes from the total you approved.
- United States - charged in USD, no conversion.
- United Kingdom and Ireland - charged in USD, converted by your bank.
- Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa - same USD pricing and the same free-shipping rule on 2+ pairs.
We ship duty-paid to our main destinations, so there is no courier invoice waiting at the door. If your country charges import VAT on personal imports outside those destinations, that sits with your local authority and not with us - contact us before ordering and we will tell you exactly where you stand.
Discount codes, sales and coupons
The bundle price is the discount. Rather than inflate a single-pair price and hand back a code, we price two pairs at $49.99 and three at $69.99 permanently - a bigger saving than any coupon we could realistically publish. There is no code field to hunt for at checkout because there is nothing better to unlock.
Coupon aggregator sites list codes for practically every brand, including ones that do not run them. Ours do not exist. If you want the full explanation, read the discount code page and the sale page.
Buying anywhere else
OptiReaders Pro are sold here at optireaderspro.net only. Marketplace listings that use our photos at a lower price are not our stock, do not carry our lenses or coatings, and cannot be returned to us. Cheaper up front, more expensive once you replace them - the detail is on where to buy OptiReaders Pro and resellers.
When the price is not worth paying
These are not right for everyone, and a cheap pair of the wrong glasses is still wasted money. Do not buy them if you have significant astigmatism, need a genuine distance prescription, have had recent eye surgery, or have a diagnosed condition such as cataracts, glaucoma or macular degeneration. In all of those cases an optician visit is the correct spend. These readers are for ordinary age-related close-up blur - presbyopia - and nothing more.
Frequently asked questions about the price
How much do OptiReaders Pro cost?
One pair is $29.99. Two pairs are $49.99, which works out at $25.00 a pair, and three pairs are $69.99, or $23.33 a pair. Every order includes a hardshell case and a microfiber cloth at no extra cost.
How much is shipping?
Standard tracked shipping is $10.99 on a single pair and free on any order of two pairs or more. There are no handling fees, and the total shown before you pay is exactly what is charged.
What is the cheapest way to buy OptiReaders Pro?
Per pair, the 3-pair bundle at $23.33 each is the lowest price we offer. If you only want one pair today, adding a second pair for $19.99 at checkout also removes the $10.99 shipping charge, so the second pair costs you less than $9.00 in real terms.
Is this a subscription or a one-time payment?
It is a one-time payment. There is no subscription, no membership, no auto-ship and no recurring charge of any kind. You are charged once for the bundle you choose and nothing else appears on your statement.
Are there any hidden fees or customs charges?
No. The price you see includes the glasses, the case, the cloth and the lens power you select. Shipping is shown as a separate line before payment and is free on 2+ pairs. We ship duty-paid to our main destinations, so there is nothing to pay on delivery.
What currency am I charged in?
All prices on this site are in US dollars and your card is charged in USD. If your card is issued outside the United States, your bank converts at its own rate on the day; the USD figure at checkout is the amount we take.
Is there a discount code for OptiReaders Pro?
The bundle price is the discount. Instead of running codes we price two pairs at $49.99 and three at $69.99, which is a bigger saving than any coupon we could publish. Any site offering a secret OptiReaders Pro code is not us.
Why are OptiReaders Pro cheaper than prescription progressives?
Prescription progressives carry an eye exam, a dispensing fee, a lab job cut to your own prescription and a retail markup. These are ready-made progressive readers sold directly from us to you, in standard powers, with no store in between. Same daily job for close-up blur, a fraction of the cost.
Do you price match or run sales?
We do not price match marketplace listings, because those are not our product and we cannot vouch for the lenses. The bundle pricing here is the standard price and is the lowest we sell at.
What if the price is wrong or I want a refund?
You have 30 days from delivery. Email support@optireaderspro.net and we will arrange a return and refund the product price. If a charge ever looks wrong on your statement, send us the order number and we will check it the same day.
